The Opportunity
Are you ready for a fresh chapter in your butchery career? We’re offering an exciting, permanent opportunity to join our Front of House Team as a Butcher- an ambassador for our premium service, quality produce, and customer-first ethos.
This is more than a back-of-house role; it’s about combining skilled meat preparation with outstanding face-to-face interaction. You’ll help deliver a memorable, personalised shopping experience for every customer who walks through our door or places an order online.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and present a wide range of meats to an exceptional standard
- Engage customers with expert product knowledge, advice, and recommendations
- Ensure displays are visually appealing, well-stocked, and maintained throughout the day
- Work collaboratively with our friendly, tight-knit team to uphold the Ian Chatfield brand values
- Adhere to food hygiene, safety, and cleaniness standards at all times
- Use basic IT tools for point-of-sale and order processing (training provided)
About You
You’re a customer-focused butcher who takes pride in their craft and loves sharing it with others. You thrive in a retail environment, can multitask during busy periods, and are passionate about quality produce, service, and teamwork.
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum 2 year of butchery experience (retail experience preferred)
- A clean UK driving licence
- Basic IT literacy (tills, ordering systems, etc.)
- Passion for top-tier customer service
- Friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic
